Zerelith ist die Produzentinnen-Identität einer Schweizer Musikerin, deren Weg am rechten Ufer des Zürichsees begann — am Klavier, klassisch ausgebildet seit dem Kindesalter. Über Jahre in der Westschweiz, wo sie Französisch lernte, und schliesslich in St. Gallen, ihrer Wahlheimat in der Ostschweiz, hat sich ihre Musik immer wieder neu erfunden.
Früh engagierte sie sich in kleinen, unbekannten Bands, fand aber bald, dass ihre Stimme solo klarer klang. Es folgten Jahre des Ausprobierens quer durch die Genres — bis sie zu dem zurückkehrte, was sie immer am stärksten bewegt hatte: EDM und Techno. Nur wechselte sie diesmal die Seite, von der Hörerin zur Gestalterin.
Wie sie komponiert, ist dabei so eigen wie ihr Klang: Zerelith erlebt Musik nicht zuerst als Ton, sondern als Bild. Ein Stück beginnt unscharf, ein Motiv im Nebel — und stellt sich mit jeder Entscheidung schärfer ein, bis das ganze Bild klar vor ihr steht. Aus diesem Prozess entsteht eine Musik, die die rohe Energie des Hard Trance mit der Architektur klassischer Komposition verbindet: orchestrale Schichten, dramaturgische Spannungsbögen, die Wucht des Floors. Sie nennt es «Symphonic Eurotrance».
Ihre Debütsingle «Rise» ist das erste vollständige Bild dieser Welt: ein Aufstieg über die Wolken, getragen von Bass und Streichern zugleich.
Zerelith is the producer identity of a Swiss musician whose path began on the eastern shore of Lake Zurich — at the piano, classically trained from early childhood. Through years in French-speaking Switzerland, where she learned French, and finally in St. Gallen, her chosen home in the country's east, her music has reinvented itself again and again.
She started out in small, unknown bands but soon found that her voice rang clearer on its own. Years of experimenting across genres followed — until she returned to what had always moved her most: EDM and techno. This time, though, she switched sides, from listener to creator.
The way she composes is as distinctive as her sound: Zerelith experiences music not as tone first, but as image. A track begins out of focus, a motif in the fog — and sharpens with every decision until the whole picture stands clearly before her. From that process emerges a music that joins the raw energy of hard trance with the architecture of classical composition: orchestral layers, dramatic arcs of tension, the weight of the floor. She calls it “Symphonic Eurotrance.”
Her debut single “Rise” is the first complete picture of this world: an ascent above the clouds, carried by bass and strings alike.
